Julie Shade
Assistant Research Scientist
Julie is an Assistant Research Scientist and former Ph.D. Candidate at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. She completed her BS in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in 2017 and worked in the Johns Hopkins Center for Nanomedicine for 4 years, studying the biophysical properties of mucosal barriers in the context of disease prevention and drug delivery.
Julie's research interests include applications of machine learning to mechanistic computational cardiac modeling and novel organ-scale models of non-ischemic diseases, including Tetralogy of Fallot and cardiac sarcoidosis.
