Syed Khairul Bashar
Post-doc
Syed Khairul Bashar is a postdoctoral fellow in the Alliance for Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Treatment Innovation (ADVANCE) at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Bashar completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (2021) and M.S. in Electrical Engineering (2019) from the University of Connecticut, USA. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh in 2015. During his doctoral work, Dr. Bashar developed novel methods to automatically detect and predict atrial fibrillation from the critically ill sepsis patients using Electrocardiogram recordings. His research interests include biomedical signal and image processing, machine learning, wearable devices etc. His current work focuses on development of innovative AI solutions to predict the risk of various cardiovascular events.
