Kensuke Sakata
Visiting Scholar
Kensuke is a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Medicine. He is a physician: Board Certified Member of the Japanese Circulation Society, Board Certified Member of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society, Fellow of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and Fellow of the Japanese Association of Cardiovascular Intervention and Therapeutics. He completed his MD and PhD at Shiga University of Medical Science. His research interests are in the mechanism of AF persistency and non-excessive catheter ablation. His current research focuses on accurate rotor detection and optimal ablation strategy using computer simulations. Outside of research, he enjoys swimming, watching movies/baseball, listening to music, and playing with cats.
