Sevde Etoz Niemeier
Post-doc

Dr. Sevde Etoz Niemeier received her B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Erciyes University in Kayseri, Turkey in 2013 and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017 and 2020. During her doctoral work, she investigated and developed dielectric and thermal tissue models to increase the predictability of microwave ablation outcomes. She is currently a Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Medicine. Her current research focuses on cardiac Magnetic Resonance Image analysis for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients. Dr. Etoz’s current interests include image-based planning tools for minimally invasive cardiac and oncology treatments with various energy sources. She enjoys hiking and road biking.
