MD-PhD Candidate Eric Sung Wins the 2020 Asia-Pacific HRS Young Investigator Award

Eric recently competed in and won the Young Investigator Award Competition at the 2020 Asia-Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Virtual Congress! His abstract was selected to be one of 5 finalists out of a pool of ~40 abstracts and included submissions from postdoctoral fellows as well as junior faculty. Finalists each gave a 13-minute oral presentation on their work followed by a 2-minute round of questions. Each presentation was then judged by a panel of several senior cardiac electrophysiologists well-known in the field. He presented his work in developing and validating a novel digital-heart technology that incorporates infiltrating fat on CT imaging to predict ventricular tachycardia ablation targets. This work was also recently published online in the journal Circulation: Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology (Personalized Digital-Heart Technology for Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation Targeting in Hearts With Infiltrating Adiposity | Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology (ahajournals.org)). Congratulations Eric!

Eric was recognized for his work titled "Digital-heart technology for ventricular tachycardia ablation targeting in post-infarct hearts with infiltrating fat" presented at the APHRS Virtual Congress.
